A draft Voluntary Planning Agreement (VPA) has been prepared between LakeCoal and Wyong Shire Council which requires the payment of financial contributions per tonne of coal produced from the recently approved Chain Valley Extension Project. The draft VPA (and supporting explanatory note) detailing these requirements is currently on exhibition and can be viewed on Wyong Council’s website via the following link:

The expenditure of funds received by Wyong Council as a result of this agreement will be guided by a Community Advisory Panel and guided by the Community Funding Deed. The draft Terms of Reference and Operating Rules for this panel, as well as the Funding Deed are being exhibited for public comment contemporaneously with the draft VPA.

Calls for Expressions of Interest from community members to serve on the Community Advisory Panel are also being sought during this period.

Submissions in response to the exhibition material, and nominations for the Community Advisory Panel should be addressed to the Acting Chief Executive Officer, Wyong Shire Council,  Rob Noble. Submissions will be accepted until 5.00pm on 30 October 2015 by:
